Nowhere else in Taranaki are students and teachers able to enjoy a totally predator free wildlife "sanctuary" where native forest is regenerating and animal populations are flourishing. Students will gain an appreciation of what New Zealand may have been like before the arrival of humans and mammalian pests (Rotokare animal and plant lists).
The Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust offers a variety of environmental education programmes and supporting resource packs that provide a strongly curriculum linked, hands-on and inspirational experience for early childhood through to senior secondary school students.
$4.50 incl gst per student, teachers and supervising adults are free (ECE - $2.00 incl gst per student)
There is a minimum charge of $50.00 incl gst per class (ECE - $25.00 incl gst per group).

Specific unit resource packs can be purchased for $30.00 each (hard copy and e-copy.
NB: Students numbers are capped at 2 classes per day, and 30 students per class.
