Nowhere else in Taranaki are students and teachers able to enjoy a totally predator free wildlife "sanctuary" where native forest is regenerating and animal populations are flourishing. Students will gain an appreciation of what New Zealand would have been like before the arrival of humans and mammalian pests.
The Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust offers a variety of environmental education programmes and supporting resource packs that provide a strongly curriculum linked, hands-on and inspirational experience for early childhood through to senior secondary school students.
